Some years heap you with blessings and successes. Some years redefine your understanding of loss and leave more pain than you thought you could bear.
This is a tabletop story game about two people linked by fate, each drawing from the same mixed deck of fortune and misfortune. And since this is a story about that year, the year we don’t speak the name of, the misfortune runs high.
Each player will need 4 six-sided dice to make characters. While playing, the players will share the 9 card deck included with the game.
It’s a game about walking in someone’s shoes, speaking aloud their journal entries, and watching all the luck that eludes them land on someone across the table.
“This game is mean. It’s beautifully mean. It’s such an honest, deeply aimed light shining on the inevitable feeling we all have about how we ended up where we ended up. It’s brilliant… even my most cynical side is applauding.”
